Based on the MESS Festival Audience votes (9.39), the Golden Laurel Wreath – the Audience Award was awarded to “Voyczek”, directed by Attila Vidnyánszky Jr. and produced by Nemzeti Színház Nonprofit Zrt from Hungary.

 As part of the Festival’s main programme, the audience had the opportunity to see 14 performances from 12 different countries, with the participation of 300 artists.

Earlier today, the jury announced the laureates of the 62^nd Edition of MESS Festival. The Grand Prix, The Golden Laurel Wreath for Best Performance overall was awarded to “Anna Karenina”. The Best Actor Award went to Aleksandar Gavranić (Anna Karenina), while the “Rejhan Demirdžić” Award for best young actor went to Pavle Prelević and Sanja Vujisić for their roles in “Anna Karenina”. This performance also won the “Oslobođenje” Golden Mask for best performance overall as well as the Radio Sarajevo Sound of MESS Award to Ilija Gajević for the sound and choice of music used in the play.

This evenings premiere of Darko Cvijetić’s play “Why are you sleeping on the floor”, directed by Kokan Mladenović, marked the official ending of the 62^nd edition of the International Theater Festival MESS.
